-
Firing of clay work at $8 per kilo will be done only after payment is made, name clearly marked on the piece and dated.
-
Work left at the studio is discarded after 1 month.
-
While all care is taken concerning storage and firing of works, exploding and cracking during the firing sometimes occur due to the ware being too thick, too damp, full of air pockets, incorrectly joined or treated. It is the student’s responsibility to only offer correctly treated work for firing to prevent damage to their work, the work of others and the kiln. Cleaning the kiln after an accident is extremely time consuming and a huge pain in the neck. Spare me!
-
Students are expected to considerately inspect the areas they’ve been using and clean up after themselves so that those who come after may enjoy a clean area too. Clay, wax, paint and charcoal spread far and wide very quickly. There is a variety of cleaning tools and products in the utility cupboard, kitchen and laundry.
